General Duty.
General Duty, or GD trailers, are the do-it-all trailer from our range, incredibly robust and durable with a wealth of sizes and options to choose from.
Our range of General Duty or GD Trailers offer an excellent choice for both Domestic and Business users.
Featuring Fixed Front and Side Panels and either a drop-down rear Tail Gate or Drop-Down Ramp, making it both versatile and easy to operate.
The Floor of the GD comes fitted with a durable Resin Coated, high grip floor that offers protection from damage from the carried loads and good grip levels in wet conditions, the GD comes fitted with a number of external lashing hooks.
The GD Trailer Chassis is manufactured from a durable welded and Galvanised construction with pressed Galvanised Steel panels to offer protection against all weather conditions.
Our General Duty range of trailers also boast a number of Optional Accessories that allow the user to customise the trailer to accommodate their specific requirements.
The GD Range of Trailers start from our GD64 offering an internal size of 1.89m length by 1.25m width up to our GD126 offering a size of 3.47m in length and 1.77m width, with multiple size options in between. The Maximum Gross Weight also starts at 1400Kg up to 2700Kg, allowing you to carry what you require with ease.

GD Ramp
The GD Ramp can be specified at the point of ordering. This Ramp gives you the option to walk into the rear of the trailer if you are carrying loads that would be heavy to lift over the sides or drive-up small items of equipment. The Ramp also come with Spring Assist to ease the weight of the Ramp. The Ramp is a Welded Construction and is Galvanised to offer both strength and long-term weather resistance. The base of the Ramp has Aluminium Treadplate Riveted in position so that the Ramp also stops loose items from falling out of the rear when the ramp is closed.
GD Tailboard
The GD Tailboard is a “User Friendly” feature that ensures that your loads remain enclosed inside the trailer. Manufactured from Strong and Durable Galvanised Steel, it's both robust and resistant to the outside elements.
Spare Wheel & Carrier
If you want extra peace of mind with your trailer or you regularly travel long distances with your GD, then why not have the addition of a Spare Wheel Carrier and Spare Wheel to get yourself back on the road quickly.
Resin Coated Plywood Platform
Our General Duty Trailer comes fitted with a Heavy Duty, Resin Coated Plywood Floor. This offers excellent resistance to damage, whilst offering a non-slip surface for added protection. The edges of the Floor Panels are also treated to reduce the ingress of water, offering a long lasting solution.
Heavy Duty Jockey Wheel
Our Heavy-Duty Jockey Wheel is manufactured from larger diameter steel and includes the addition of “Grip Rings” around the Outer Tube that locate into the Locking Arm on the Trailer Hitch that allows greater weight without the risk of the smooth tube sliding
Rear Prop Stands
Fitted as Standard on our GD64, GD84 and GD85 Single Axle Trailers to offer the extra stability whilst the trailer is being loaded or left loaded and removed from the tow vehicle.
Security Marking
The Serial Number is either cut into the Drawbar or engraved onto the Chassis of the trailer.
Accessories
Various options and accessories are available for your trailer. Some may need to be ordered with your trailer as a factory fit item, while others can be purchased at a later date. Please check with your distributor before ordering.
MESH SIDES
All of our General Duty Trailers have the option of a Mesh Extension Kit that is easily fastened to the trailer. These Mesh Side Kits offer an increased height of the Sides and Front Panel allowing for higher loads of loose materials. Some of these Mesh Kits can be purchased for fitting yourself, whilst others require fitting at the factory, so please speak with your local Distributor prior to ordering.
PROP STAND KIT
Why not add extra stability to your trailer during loading with the addition of our Manual Prop Stands? These are Bolted to the rear of the chassis, offering extra support. Prop stands come as standard on our GD64, GD84 and GD85 Single Axle Trailers and are available as an option on the remaining range of GD Trailers.
LASHING RING RECESSED 500Kg
Need more Lashing Points? Our Recessed Lashing Points, rated at 500kg each, are fitted into the floor at the point of manufacture offering further options for restraining your load.
LADDER RACK
Why not enhance your GD with the addition of a Ladder Rack Kit? These Ladder Racks allow for the transport of materials that are longer than your trailer, making our General Duty Trailer even more versatile.
COUPLING LOCK
Our Ifor Williams Coupling Lock fits neatly around the Coupling Head to make the theft of your trailer much more difficult. Manufactured from High-Grade Steels and a durable Powder Coated Finish. The Lock is a High Security Lock which features an Anti-Drilling Barrel. For extra piece of mind we also supply an additional High Security Barrel which will fit into a Lockable Coupling Head so that one key will open both the Coupling Lock and the Coupling Head Barrel.
